Slim Jim Blues met for a rehearsal today.
Obviously our mind was on the up and coming Chicken Head Lounge. If you haven’t got your tickets yet then buy them!
But as well as playing our old stuff we also started working on some new things. Reaching back into the Missippippi past we played with a track by the wonderful Jessie Mae Hemphill and also worked on some own material. The big question is always can we update stuff from the first half of the twentieth century and use contemporary amplification to make it rock more than ever before? It seems we can!
There is talk of an EP in the new year so watch this space.
