Slim Jim Blues

Travelling the back roads of the blues

They’re really rocking in Warsop

This weekend we have rocked as hard as three old bluesmen know how.

We had the privilege of opening the Warsop Rock and Blues festival at The Black Market Venue in Warsop. Great bands, great beer, great company.

We offered up our usual mix of super-charged early blues numbers. We went to Missippippi, Chicago, Alabama and Canvey Island and served it all up with the special sauce that they only make in the Leicester hills.

The rest of the festival was great and absolutely stuffed full of brilliant bands. TJ Harpenstein even popped up in the jam session. We particularly loved James Oliver, Vincent Flatts and of course Dr Feelgood.

Here are a few pics of the rest of the festival.

Hopefully we’ll get back to Warsop soon!
